Kartel is one of dancehall's most successful artists and among his various nicknames is referred to as "Worl' Boss".

Sorry but Beenie man is the legend and only king of dancehall king ,there are many dancehall kings but Beenie man is the king of all dancehall artist , he has the track record and alot of achievement. Beenie man IS A GRAMMY AWARD winning artist Kartel has no granny , Beenie man has alot of billboard hits more than Kartel by far if Kartel has any, Beenie man is called king worldwide more than Kartel, Beenie man has sold more records than Kartel and we can go oo and on Kartel is not in Beenie man class so don't do that to the great Beenie man comparing him with a non winning Grammy artist Kartel is just a now a day Rtist

Vybes Kartel is the king of dancehall in this modern times.Because the man is a modern ,reaggae artist,modern entrepreneur,he is a man of his own generation standing the test through dancehall challenges even prison did not stop him from fowarding with dancehall.Up until now he is at dancehall' core and still doing it.He has build his own empire though dancehall music and we know he is the gaza empires' boss,through gaza artist do rise.Instead of being under bounty killer he is standing on his own.I mean a man is recognized because of hard work.

In my opinion, Vybz Kartel is the King of Modern Dancehall. Yellowman and Beenie Man had their reigns during their respected times. Like any other King and Queen, the torch must be passed. I do agree that we should still respect the predecessors.
