Weddy Weddy is a weekly dancehall party held every Wednesdays at 41 Burlington Avenue in Kingston, Jamaica. This is also the headquarters for the world Immortal Stone Love Sound System.
The venue is always jam packed, with hardly any space for patrons to show-off their dancing skills.
Just like Passa Passa and Dutty fridaze should you attend this session you are sure to have a fun time.
The party starts early and finishes at 2:00 am in the morning.
Musical selections and audio are provided by Stone Love sound system, with guest selectors sometimes performing.
The dancehall fashion are always on show at this party. The ladies and Gents showing off their best wears, and the hairstyle. You can just imagine!
On any of the party nights you are sure to meet and party along local and international dancehall and reggae lovers.
Dancers are always there plying their dance moves.
Most of dancehall and reggae music top artiste always attends this session and sometimes they do perform.
After partying so hard you will need some real yardie style food like jerk or fried chicken, jerk pork and soups.
Drinks are in abundant, the famous Reggae Red Stripe, soda, water, other bottled drinks and liquors.
Top shelf liquor (Hennessy, etc), drink mixes and cocktails are a must.
Sound exciting? It is, just come on down, leave your worries and get on "wid di vibes".
In 2019, Weddy Weddy which is know one of Jamaica's longest running street party celebrated its 15th anniveary.
Weddy Weddy is one of Jamaica's premier street party held in Jamaica's capital Kingston.
This event has been going strong for over 15 years, It is generally a very safe place to party in Jamaica. We can't say that there aren't any minor scraffles every now and then but for most part this party is safe to attend.
Dancehall Reggae music lovers and some tourist are now making this event a must to attend when they visit Jamaica.
From any hotel in the Kingston area, Its a 7-10 minutes ride to 41 Burlington Ave.
