Upcoming Dancehall Artiste “Rhonda” Shot Dead In Hanover


A promising young female artiste Ronda; was gunned down along Zion Road in Hopewell,Hanover, late Friday evening.


Dead is 26-year-old Ronda Morris, or she was popularly known as “Rhonda” of Camp Road in Hopewell. Ronda was a promising talent on the rise, gaining increasing popularity over the last few months, especially since the sadly ironic studio effort “Protect Me” produced by Garrison Entertainment.

Reports are that about 9:15 Friday evening Morris left her home to visit someone at Zion Road. Its alleged, that she was standing at a section of the roadway when residents heard explosions and went to investigate. Morris was found lying in a pool of blood, with gunshot wounds to the head.

She died leaving behind four children, the youngest of which is only 7 months old. The police are still investigating the matter.

We have seen the lack of leadership in the countries that regard themselves as developed where robbery, murder, lying, and the destruction of entire communities and countries have become the norm. Why do people in small developing nations such as ours in the Caribbean have to follow in the footsteps of our enslavers and oppressors?
Why in God's name are we so violent. Why do we have to feel that we are experts in the used of a gun, knife, or whatever violent means when we do not manufacture it? Why do we have to use the wicked stupid inventions and methods to murder our own people?

I am very disappointed in the whole of Caricom. There is no peace nor security anywhere for anyone. The society is breaking down and must not be accepted as a norm. This nonsense must be regionally addressed. We are not living in the Mideast.

I was sadden when i came across the article . I never heard Rhonda's music before , so i listen to couple of her songs and she was talented . Song are very positive.Beautiful voice that so many never got to hear. I pray for her family especially her children. Rip Baby Girl. I will continue to listen to your songs they say a lot.
