Upcoming Dancehall Artiste Branxx Ready for 2015


Up and coming dancehall artiste Stephen Alwood, more popularly known as Branxx is the artiste to look out for in 2015. The artiste who hails from Portmore is determined to make it in the dancehall fraternity.


Currently the artiste, who is represented by M.I.A. Production, has a slew of singles that are ripping up the airwaves. Two of his latest singles, “Gal a Yuh,” and “Rise to the Occasion” has been getting good radio rotation on all local radio stations and has been getting a wonderful feedback from the general public.

“Nah tell no lie, I have been getting some crazy love from the streets. Everybody a tell me how dem inlove with the songs dem and mi feel great about that. The songs are being heavily rotated on radio as well and it is just a very good look.” Branxx said

Branxx newest song “Taken” which features upcoming singer Teesha Rain on the Set So Riddim produced by Go Fi Demmm Production / Vibes Link Production is currently a fan favourite and has also been getting a terrific feedback, especially in the streets and good airplay both locally and internationally.

Branxx says, “The song is about a woman who is already taken (in a relationship)but develops love and feelings for another man that is pursuing her. The man makes it clear that even though she “taken”, she still could be taken by him. The track is a well put together song written by me and Teesha with sassy lyrics, catchy rhymes and a lot of suspense.

It isn't like the regular songs where woman a give dem man bun and that’s it, there is a twist to this one and at the end. Will she stay taken or will she end up being taken even though she is already taken? Only after you have
heard the song you will know.

The music video for the song “Taken” is currently being rotated on all local tv stations and is a already a hit on YouTube.
