Trinidad embraces Razor B's NEW Dancehall Soca Collaboration
Dancehall artiste Razor B
Energetic Dancehall hit maker and entrepreneur Roger Cassup, aka Razor B, is excited that another track is trending for him in the Dancehall Soca market.
The single. 'Bum Pon Di Bum' has been making waves in Jamaica since its release a few weeks ago with scores of dancers literally taking it to the floor, bouncing to the catchy track.
"My music always makes the ladies excited and its a joy to see them try to bounce across the floor like the professional dancers Swat Twinz," Razor B explained
The 'Bum Pon Di Bum' single features Trinidadian newcomer Nelly Cottoy who won best new artiste in Trinidad’s Urban Music Awards recently. The track has also been trending in Trinidad since its release, prompting Razor B to also visit the twin island recently for a performance and promotion.
This isn't the first time Razor B has collaborated with a soca artiste either, he had remixed his mega hit.’Up In Deh’ with soca great Skinny Fabulous in 2016.
"Working with Nelly was seamless and fun, I liked the beat from the first time I heard it. The song is really Dancehall Soca fusion and since both genres are high energy and synonymous with getting people moving it is a perfect synergy," Razor added
The artiste is busy successfully balancing his music career and entrepreneurship with the opening of his new restaurant in Kingston this month. Cassup’s Kitchen's grand opening will take place on October 26 on the artiste's birthday.
