Tifa’ ‘Big Bumper’ Tops The Chart In St. Lucia
Weeks after releasing the medley video for her controversial singles ‘The Champ/Big Bumper’ via VEVO, Tifa is already reaping major rewards from the project.
Produced by Christopher Birch on the Moskato Riddim, ‘Big Bumper’ has not only been annexed to the BBC Radio One playlist; landed her ‘Artiste of the Month’ on Flames Radio (U.K) but has now become her first official hit for the new year after bullying its way to the top of one of St. Lucia’ most respected music charts.
The song currently occupies the No.1 spot on The Wave’s Top 20 Caribbean Countdown fending off strong competition from the likes of Skinny Fabulous (Don’t Give It Away), Bunji Garlin (Television) and Jamaica’s very own Tarrus Riley with ‘No Need To Worry’. The song peaked at No.1 after spending less than two months on the chart and is steadily becoming a favourite on the playlist of top tier Jocks across the space. The popular chart show is aired weekly on The Waves 93.7FM and 94.5FM on the island.
Upon receipt of the good news the Jamaican star took her Instagram page in celebration as she wrote, “a weh di gyal dem wid di big bumper deh??? looks like st. lucia cause we're #1.. big up”
Set to release a surfeit of singles in the weeks ahead Tifa is also gearing up for a hectic summer that will see her jetting of to North America for an expansive tour of that continent before shifting gear to several additional assignments in Europe and the Caribbean.
