The Music Industry Achievers Awards (M.I.A) is Ready For 2014


The Music Industry Achievers Awards is proud to announce the six ambassadors for 2014. They are popular selector Boom Boom, female dancehall diva D.I, radio deejay Dj Nicco, known producer Seanizzle, Sunjock JJ Wizzle and “Miss Money O” Macka Diamond. Thesix were selected as a representation in the industry, being front runners in their respective areas.


Currently, Ambassador Boom Boom has been doing extremely well and is one of the most sought after selectors right now locally and internationally. He is booked to perform in Canada soon and as usual will be bringing his high energy.

Ambassador Seanizzle is also at the top of his game and will soon be releasing his first studio album dubbed “Music My Way Volume 1” this year. The album, which is a compilation of some of his great works, features a host of artistes.

Ambassador DI has been doing very well also. Recently she and Kiprich released a collaboration on the Clean Money Riddim called “Hear the Pree.” The song has been getting some really good feedback from the fans and has been enjoying good rotation on local and international radio.

Resident DJ of Fame FM, Dj Nicco has been unstoppable on radio. He is known for his tight mixes and setting trends in the music fraternity.

When it comes on to setting trends female dancehall artiste Macka Diamond is unbeatable. Ambassador Macka Diamond has been up to great works since her inception in music. She has been busy on tours, performing in the Caribbean and she recently returned from Africa.

Sunjock JJ Wizzle from Suncity Radio is also one of M.I.A Ambassadors. He was chosen, much
like the ambassadors already mentioned because of his talent and versatility.

The M.I.A Awards is an esteemed and prestigious award show that honours, recognizes and awards the best creative work in music in Jamaica. The Award boasts 27categories with three special awards given for outstanding contribution to the music business. This year Jenny Jenny, Elise Kelley and Ron Muschette will be the recipients of the special awards.

This being the fourth staging of this event, CEO of M.I.A Award Nackesha “Queenie” Doyley, promises a spectacular show featuring performances from popular local acts and a special international guest; she also promises a smooth and flawless

“I went back to the drawing board, I have identified my weak points and I am coming this year even stronger. Nothing beats a failure but a trial and for me the journey continues; M.I.A. Awards will be one of the most talked about events for 2014”

The event is slated to take place July 11, 2014 while the media launch and nomination list party will be held on the 11th of April, 2014.

The M.I.A Awards remains focused on evolving with the industry in order to acknowledge the most current, breakthrough work and will continue to recognize the creative efforts in Jamaican music.
