Tessanne Chin to drop highly anticipated 'Count On My Love' on June 24, 2014
Season five winner of The Voice, Tessanne Chin has confirmed that her highly-anticipated album, Count On My Love, will be unveiled on June 24, her first album under the Republic Records imprint.
The announcement was made by Chin during her return to The Voice on Tuesday during the semi-final round of season six as she performed her second single off the album, Everything Reminds Me of You. That song was written by Virgin Island producing duo, Rock City, who has written hits for Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Justin Bieber and several other top acts. It was produced by Black Chiney’s Dwayne 'Supa Dups' Chin-Quee
Count On My Love will also feature production from Toby Gad, Mark 'Exit' Goodchild, Jerry 'Wonda' Duplessis, Stargate, Shama 'Sak Pase' Joseph and Shaun Pizzonia aka Sting International, as well as writing from highly-acclaimed songwriter, Diane Warren, AC Burrell, Claude Kelly and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, who penned Chin’s debut single from the album, Tumbling Down.
It has not been revealed which artists will feature on her record, though in an interview last month, Chin said the album will feature elements of her island roots as will feature different sounds and emotion reflective of her personality.
Count on My Love will mark Chin’s major label debut as it will be distributed by Republic Records, a label under the Universal Music Group umbrella. This is her follow-up to her debut album, In Between Words, which received little fanfare when it was released independently in 2010.
Meanwhile, Tessanne Chin has been confirmed along Jacqueline Lee and Will Champlin to headline The Voice’s North American tour, beginning June 21, which will see the former contestants perform 31 dates.
The 29-year-old singer will be in Toronto on Saturday for a performance at The Sony Centre.
