Teknique Lands International Collaboration with DaBaby
Teknique and DaBaby Collaborates on ‘Coil’

February 18, 2022, Kingston, Jamaica - With several Jamaican artistes landing collaborations with international artistes, recording artiste ‘Teknique’ has been added to the list.
The Jamaican-born Florida-based artiste has released the single ‘Coil’ featuring rap star DaBaby. The single which premiered on popular US-based video blog site WorldStarHipHop (average 1.2 million unique visitors a day) and BET is distributed by Empire Distribution.
‘Coil’ is produced by Megatron Muzik and Mining Gold and was made possible through Teknique’s manager Dre Ja. Teknique said, “My manager puts marketing at the forefront, so it was no surprise that he made this collab happen.
DaBaby has a global brand so this collaboration will help position my brand in several markets”.
Described as ‘world music’ Teknique added, “this song to me isn’t just hip hop, or rap, or dancehall, its world music. A fusion of great sounds”. The ‘Coil’ artiste also shared that while the song is about money, he chose to take a unique approach by using the word ‘coil’ instead of ‘racks’, ‘bread’, or even ‘stacks. He stated, “I like to be unique in everything I do and say. I am a trendsetter. This collab shows my versatility and my ability to fuse multiple genres to make great music”.
The video for ‘Coil’ was shot in Portland, Jamaica and available on Teknique Music YouTube Channel. Fans can also stream, download, and purchase the single on all major digital music platforms.
Teknique while promoting his single ‘Well Well Wild’ will also be promoting ‘Coil’ in North America and the Caribbean.
