Dancehall artiste Teejay Making Strides
After a successful summer, dancehall artiste Teejay has been making all the right moves.
The up-and-coming artiste, who is signed to Starz Plus Management, has performed at Beer Wendzdays, Reggae Sumfest, the MoBay Jerk Festival, among other events, sharing the stage with dancehall greats.
The artiste, originally from Montego Bay, St James is on the promotional trial for his new single, They Don't Know, which features fellow MoBay entertainer Ryme Minista. The song is on the Ghetto Rain rhythm.
The single speaks about encouraging youth in inner-city communities and has been gaining support on several radio stations in Jamaica. The video for the single was shot by Konsepp in Montego Bay and has since given the single great traction.
Teejay said: "The reception for the single has been very good. The fans love it and my fanbase has been growing."
Teejay was also recently featured on popular entertainment programme Entertainment Report.
He discussed his rising popularity in the dancehall. He is known for singles such as Buss Head, True Friend,World Come Down, and recently, Real Hot, which is produced by Good Good Production on the Liquor rhythm.
In July of 2018 Teejay became a household when he teamed up with Knack Outt Production on their Progress Riddim for the released of a track titled "Up Top Boss".
The song became an instant hit with the ladies as it encourages the ladies to whine for the "Up Top Boss" who is "Teejay". A year after its released the song has been streamed over 10million times. {LISTEN TO UP TOP BOSS HERE}
