Sophia Brown Drops Provocative Video For New Single "Love Zone"
Kingston, JA: Reggae singer Sophia Brown who has used her stirring voice to mesmerize fans over the years is turning up the heat with her sizzling new single 'Love Zone.'
The seductive song and video which is laced with sexual innuendos is sure to set hearts palpitating. While she did not court controversy, as Ishawna did in her controversial 'Equal Rights' song, Brown definitely sexed it up with what is easily her most provocative song to date.
"I recorded the song while I was on a promotional tour of Canada last February" the singer explained on a recent radio interview.
"I was in a sexy mood when I came up with the concept for the song. I put pen to paper which gave birth to 'Love Zone." The singer pointed out that while the song is a departure from what fans normally get from her, she is not trying to shock fans with something over the top to get attention.
"Truth be told, I am just being Sophia Brown, the sexy person that I am. After 20 odd years in the business, I think I have earned the right to express my sexuality a little more" she asserted. Brown makes her intention clear in the opening salvo of 'Love Zone' declaring, "Ma body been calling. A you me been wanting. Something have fe happen. Me nah wait too long. I am in my love zone. Tell me when yuh coming along. I got sex on my mind."
'Love Zone' is the second single from the soon to be released album 'Change' that includes the previously released lead single 'Only Jamaica.' The video for Love Zone was recently shot at a guest house in Kingston. It will be edited and serviced to cable channels later this month.
"It is a sexy video that has some sizzling scenes. Just as the song is provocative, the video will capture that type of a vibe however we made sure it is not X rated" she explained.
The video shoot for 'Love Zone' was directed by 13th Tribe Productions; styling done by Raquel Gooden, Fenton Simpson, Denique Green with makeup by Dana 'Gail' Williams.
'Change' was released on May 26 on the Musicmecka Record label and is being distributed by Zojak World Wide. A launch party was also held on May 24 at the Kingston 11 Bar & Grill in Kingston. The album was produced by Bucktown Productions, Kool Runningz & Indie Roots from Canada; Cabba Sounds Productions and Sophia Brown.
