So'Nia Says 'I Am Not Your Helper'


It took almost three decades for reggae singer So'Nia to launch her recording career, but she has no regrets.


The talented St Elizabeth native, a former member of Byron Lee & The Dragoniares, is now basking in the success of her debut single, I Am Not Your Helper.

"Singing has been my lifelong passion; I've never given up on my dreams of being a successful recording artise and it is finally becoming a reality. It took a little time for me to start my recording career, but as the old saying goes, it's better late than never," said So'Nia.

I Am Not Your Helper was released in June, and since then, it has enjoyed heavy rotation, both locally and abroad.

"I am very grateful for all the support my song is getting. I've been getting a lot of positive feedback about it everywhere I go," So'Nia said.

Before releasing I Am Not Your Helper So'Nia, who holds a degree in medical technology, performed at weddings and special events.

So'Nia is busy working on other projects for Kapras Records, owned and operated by Kenneth Llewellyn.

"I have a lot more music I to release for my fans. They can look out for some more singles before the end of the year," said the artiste.

I Am Not Your Helper was produced by well-known New York-based reggae singer/producer Ed Robinson for Kapras Records.
