Songstress Nefatari Nominated Among Music Notables for Irie Jam Award
Queens, NY (MPR Consulting) - The year has just begun and soulful multi-talented singer Nefatari has been deemed by music fans and insiders as the next "It" face of music. This indubious honor undoubtedly stems from her numerous achievement at such a young age, from proudly being the first Caribbean artist to perform at the Essence Music Festival, to background singer for Lindsay Lohan, gracing the pages of Vogue and Glamour, Nefatari embodies the definition of a STAR.
After a whirlwind 2015, Nefatari has received yet again a musical nod and distinction among some of the powerhouses in this business. The latest honor bestowed upon the multi talented songbird is a nomination for Singer of the Year by 2016 IrieJam Online Award alongside winner of Season 5 of NBC's reality TV singing competition The Voice , the incomparable Tessane Chin, singer/songwritter and actress Alaine amid other distinguished names. Considered the premiere source for Caribbean Broadcasting in the North East diaspora, Irie Jam is omnipresent in all facets of the urban and Caribbean Community. "it was a huge surprise when I found out I was nominated for Irie Jam Radio's Female Singer of the Year. I'm a fan of all of the other female artists that are nominated, so it was very humbling. My team and I have been working very hard for the past year to get opportunities like this, so I am thankful." stated a humble and jubilant Nefatari.
Although her hard work and dedication has been previously recognized by the prestigious Underground Music Award and MIA Award, Nefatari hasn't rested on those laurels. With many projects ahead, Nefatari has been hard at work writing and recording new music. For the month ahead she looks forward to releasing a video for her song "Queen of Queens" which will be featured on her EP slated for release later in the year. "I'm excited for the video to come out. The song has been building a buzz for the past couple months and my fans have been asking to see me so here I come :) The video was directed by Video Chemistry and shot in a few locations around New York."
Irie Jam radio who pride themselves in Keeping The Culture Alive will close voting at www.IrieJamRadio.com on February 18th, 2016.
