SHIFTA READY FOR JAMAICAN 'DO YOU WANNA' VIDEO PREMIERE
Caribbean Fusion artiste Shifta is reeling from a spade of successful premiers of the Do You Wanna Video in Florida over the past few weeks. The Official video for the single was launched at various clubs and events in Florida including; The Cameo Nightclub, Blink at Solare Gardens and Igloo South Florida.
For the Florida video premier, Shifta received support from an extensive radio and Club DJ community as well as local media. The premier itself was even featured on US National News Platform ABC News 10.
The Timeless Records team is now gearing up for the next phase in the promotion of the new and increasingly popular single ‘Do You Wanna’; which features Timeless Records recording artiste Shifta and Universal Records Japan signed artiste Che’nelle, The Jamaican Premiere.
The Official Video for ‘Do You Wanna’ was shot a few weeks ago in Miami Florida, also the location of Timeless Records’ headquarters. The full day shoot incorporated Shifta playing the role of handyman at a beautiful Miami Mansion while keeping his eyes on the gorgeous leading lady Che’nelle, but nothing is as it seems for this visual masterpiece.
The Video was directed by Jordon Stavrev of 305 films, the protégé of well-known director Gil Green; who has directed movies and videos for the best and brightest including P Diddy, R Kelly, Lil Wayne, Usher, Akon, Kanye West and Snoop Dogg.
The twist at the end of the ‘Do You Wanna’ video will have you wondering if you are actually in a movie theatre rather than watching a music video, and that’s exactly what CEO of Timeless Records, Rasheed Ali, is anticipating; “Everything Timeless Music is involved in is first class and of the highest quality, the video is no different. This is why we hire the best team, who sees our vision and can make that a reality” Rasheed reasoned For Jamaica, the video is to be officially launched at Triple Century in Kingston on September 16; with representatives from Timeless Records International, Empire/Atlantic Records as well as Universal records Japan present.
Shifta is excited about the new single and upcoming EP which fully amalgamates with his Caribbean roots. Delving into Dancehall music completely, something his last EP, Plan B, hadn’t focussed on.
Shifta will also perform songs from the EP, including the first single, ‘Do You Wanna’, at the launch of the Official Music Video at Triple Century Sports Bar this fall.
