December 7, 2012 , Kingston Jamaica, Reggae Worshiper Rondell Positive has “lit up the world”. These were the word’s of “Fiya Mumma” Elise Kelly during a recent interview on her afternoon programme “Heart, Mind & Soul 2 Soul”.
In a personal heart-to-heart session on Thursday December 6, for over an hour, Rondell spoke of his relationship with Christ, the experiences he has faced in his life and the inspiration behind his debut album “Sticks Nor Stones: Reggae Worship”.
In an unprecedented occurrence at the station, the interview generated so much interest among listeners that phone lines were kept busy the whole time the two spoke. One staff member who managed the calls entered the studio and explained the situation to Kelly saying: “Elise, I never si dis before, from the interview start until now di phone line block (jammed); people want to know where they can get his music and where they can find him online.”
Kelly herself, in commenting on the album said “This is pure praise and worship - the minute I felt this CD I felt the power; Some Christian music kinda separates people, but this album includes everyone - Wow, just wow!”. With a continuous flow of email during the session, Kelly’s inbox had listeners from as far as the United Kingdom expressing awe at both the music and deep energy of Rondell.
