Reggae-Gospel Group D'Vine HP Ready to Launch After Winning Million Dollar Distribution Deal
Kingston, Jamaica - Since winning the 2013 Gosplash Gospel Competition, Dahlia, Janna, Kemika, Chrisan, Cheryl-Lue and Jevena , better known as Gospel group D’Vine HP, have been hard at work on their official debut single under their distribution and marketing deal with 21st Hapilos Gospel, the Gospel branch of Hapilos Entertainment Group.
Produced by Hitz Factory Records, “But God” is a song of reflection and thanksgiving according to the group "As we think about how difficult life is for so many we can do nothing but give thanks because it could have been so much worse. We have proven God to be a protector, provider and everything else we need to get through this life. The lyrics really speak for themselves ‘ . a coulda you, a coulda me ... But God’” - D’Vine HP
The group was officially established in 2013 and began making their mark on the local church scene after winning the 2013 Gosplash Gospel competition and a million dollar distribution deal from 21st Hapilos Gospel as one of their many prizes. D’Vine's journey to this monumental occasion came from years of praise, worship and ministering together through the Church of God of prophecy’s praise teams. The ladies compare their musical style as a fusion of Contemporary and Reggae-Gospel and are inspired by Artistes such as Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Papa San and Judith Gayle.
“This event is not only a song launch but a launch to introduce D’Vine HP to the Gospel industry. They have great potential and “But God” is a wonderful that we can relate to. We are extremely proud to provide a distribution platform for them and look forward to working with them this year” commented Samoy Batchelor, spokesperson for 21st Hapilos Gospel.
