Reggae Singer Dann-I To Headline Road Safety Campaign
PRISM MARKETING CONSULTANTS || JUNE 12, 2015 || In commemoration of Road Safety month, Reggae singer Dann-I fresh from his performance at the 2015 People's Choice STAR Awards WATCH SNIPPET is lending his talent to strengthen the campaign of sensitization being undertaken by the Road Safety Unit of the Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing.
The campaign geared towards reducing the level of motor vehicle related deaths on the roads, will feature a concert dubbed “Live Road Safety Reap the Rewards” slated for the UDC Car Park on Saturday June 13th.
The eclectic entertainer billed as one of the headliners for the event in a statement to the media said, he is pleased to be involved in an initiative to help raise awareness about Road safety.
“Right now I believe everyone should take the time out to be a part of this initiative because we really need to open people’s eyes and make some changes because we have too many fatalities in Jamaica due road accidents, which in many cases could be avoided. So I’m encouraging everyone to come out to the UDC Car Park this weekend and help us spread the message for a safer Jamaica.”
The National Road Safety Council was established in 1993 as a non-profit organization by public and private sector interest groups. Its mandate is to develop and implement road safety promotional activities, conduct public education programmes and to act as a lobby group for the promotion of road safety.
June is celebrated as Road Safety month.
Meanwhile, ahead of an assignment in Brooklyn, New York in the weeks ahead, Dann-I is assiduously promoting his current single ‘Time Nuh Wait’ produced by Sons of Spoon Records. The single is now available on iTunes and other digital platforms.
