Reggae Rocker Omari Banks to Guest Judge at St. Maarten's TelCell Breakthrough Talent Finals.

A Xtratight Entertainment Production powered by TelCell, The St. Maarten's top talent event which features such various categories as dancing, singing, rapping, instrument playing and special talent will take place Saturday October 1st at The Casino Royale Maho Theater.

In 2015 International reggae artist Omari Banks was as a guest speaker and on hand to offer words of wisdom and encouragement to the young stars in the making, having been on that side of the stage himself many years ago when he won many talent shows as a young budding hopeful.

The 2016 staging of the TelCell Breakthrough Talent Finals will see Omari serving as a judge, and give his input to crown a winner amind the 20 finalists. Speaking of the task at hand, Omari stated "Its always great to see the next generation of aspiring artiste/commentators of our society.. This is a great initiative by Telcel and its sponsors.

Judging a competition like this is always going to be a challenge because i believe art is subjective, ultimately for me i believe it is about how you communicate in your performance and that is what i will be looking for, how it translates on a emotional level to the me and the audience, and also the level of skill and talent is necessary to accomplish their act.. I had the
opportunity to be a guest Artiste/ motivational speaker for the Competition last year and i'm happy to be back in the capacity of judge this year.. Good luck to all the contestants."
