Fast-rising reggae/fusion singer Oriel is currently enjoying much attention with his single, Give Me A Reason.
The song, which was done in tandem with popular reggae crooner Richie Stephens, has been receiving heavy airplay on several local radio stations including Irie FM and Hitz 92 FM.
"I'm pleased with the response the song is getting in Jamaica and other parts of the world. DJs are playing it all over the world. I have to thank all the people who are supporting my music and my career, especially the fans."
Plans are afoot for the shooting of a music video for Give Me A Reason.
"We are getting ready to shoot the video next month. We want to do a very good video to support the song and keep the momentum going."
Oriel is also receiving good feedback about another song, Sticks and Stones.
"Sticks and Stones is going to do well, too, the feedback it's getting is very strong. A lot of people in the business are telling me it's going to be a big song. A few DJs have already began to play it at events and so on. Looks like this year is going to be my year," said the artiste.
Oriel is also looking forward to his upcoming performance on an event dubbed 'Reggae Fuzion' that will take place on Saturday, February 8 at Bar Marco in Pittsburgh. Oriel and his band, the Revoluters, will headline the event which will also feature Ras Maisha, Jah Ques and Truths and Rights.
"This show is going to be a wonderful show. All the acts on the line-up are very good. I know everyone plans to deliver good performances and let the people enjoy themselves," said Oriel.
