REGGAE BAND LA RED WINS PRESTIGIOUS MARLIN GOSPEL MUSIC AWARD FOR "BEST CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL RECORDING"
Nassau, Bahamas (July 3, 2022) La Red Music is thrilled to announce that, during the 25th edition of the Marlin Awards held in Nassau, Bahamas, their single "Me Escogiste" won their first marlin award for "Outstanding International Caribbean Recording".
"Me Escogiste" was produced by Bronx, New York Native / Veteran Reggae Producer/ Keyboardist Don Altamirano and the talented Puerto Rican Maestro, Arranger and Vocalist Magdiel Maldonado. The mix and mastering was done by world-renowned mixing engineer/ Live Dub Mix Artist Laurent "Tippy I" Alfred (Igrade Records) in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
La Red is the first gospel Latin reggae artist from the Caribbean and Latin America to win the Marlin Award. Bebe & Cece Winans and Israel Houghton have been winners in the same category.

La Red, formerly known as Filosofia are considered one of the pioneers of Spanish reggae in Puerto Rico.
