San Juan, Puerto Rico (April 21, 2022) La Red Music is thrilled to announce that during
The Marlin Awards Nomination Day held in Nassau, Bahamas their song “Me Escogiste” was
nominated in the category of “Outstanding International Caribbean Recording”.
“Me Escogiste” was produced by Veteran Reggae Keyboardist Don Altamirano and Lead Vocalist
Magdiel Maldonado. The Mix and Mastering was done by world renowned Mixing Engineer
Laurent “Tippy I” Alfred at Aquasound Studios (Igrade Records) in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
The other artists nominated in the same category are Angie Cleveland, Jace Bomero, Jah Pickney, Milliyon feat. Joshua Ali and Radical Worship Collective feat. Ali Forbes.
The Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards was launched on March 16, 1996, by recording artist, radio personality and media executive Kevin Harris. The vision of the Marlin Awards is to inspire, recognize and encourage excellence and growth in Caribbean Gospel Music.
The 25th Edition of The Marlin Awards will be held Sunday July 3rd, 2022, at THE MYLES E. MUNROE DIPLOMAT CENTER in Nassau, Bahamas.
La Red previously known as Filosofia which was founded in 1998, are considered one of the
pioneers of “Reggae En Español” or Spanish Reggae in Puerto Rico.
