Rdx Asks 'Why Do Men Cheat' With Dancehall Sings Release
RDX ANSWERS THE AGE OLD QUESTION 'WHY DO MEN CHEAT'??
Delomar and Renigade of RDX are sure to surprise a few of their fans and the music industry at large with the release of their single on ZJ Chrome’s new project ‘Dancehall Sings’. Not only is the single a deviation from the norm as it relates to expected RDX material, but the content of the track is sure to ignite debate and heated conversation.
The project itself is a unique one and showcases Dancehall artistes singing Reggae songs in two flavors; Love Ballad and Roots Reggae. Highlighting the diversity of Dancehall artistes is quite commendable for any producer, as sometimes these talented acts are placed in the proverbial ‘box’ musically. With the Dancehall Sings Riddim, CR203 Records challenged these artistes to step outside the expected, and RDX definitely delivered.
The song is entitled ‘Why Do Men Cheat’ and answers the pivotal question of why men do the things they do in relationships. The topic was inspired by conversations with women RDX have come in contact with over time and is a real and relatable concept with which many can connect.
“The lyrics are pretty deep, so we hope this track can stir the thoughts, answer a few questions as it relates to relationships and maybe ask a few more.”Renigade detailed “
The track also acts as a window into the new frontier of the duo, a pivotal step in the direction of a more diverse RDX.
“RDX is not synonymous with Reggae, which makes this all the more intriguing. We are sure just the mere curiosity of what RDX has to say on a Reggae riddim will pull many to listen to this track. So imagine if we were to release our Reggae Album?!” Delomar
2015 will see the duo making serious forays into other music forms. Their Edm inspired ‘Loud’ collaboration with Orange Hill Productions is also gaining excellent momentum with the release of the visuals for that project, and RDX has also released the Music Video for their newest Global Girls Anthem ‘Bend Back’ produced by Full Charge Records. Reggae inspired singles will continue to be a part of RDX's future as well, pre-empting the release of the Soul Poetry Reggae Album later this year.
