Razor B Keeps the Grils Whining
Born on the south side in sunny St. Catherine's Jamaica, Razor is the eldest son and one of 6 children. Razor’s love of reggae music had him sneaking out to street parties and creating music in the studio against his mother's wishes.
Razor began writing songs and creating dub plates for sounds including Lone Star, Red Flame and King Turbo. Life and responsibility saw Razor leave the music scene for a few years. He added to his diverse resume Promoter, Truck Driver, Furniture Delivery and Chef. Razor pursued his passion for the ‘plate’ and opened OG Events and Catering in 2005, lovingly known to his customers as Mr. OG...people had no idea that they were enjoying jerk chicken, oxtail and stem fish cooked by an upcoming superstar.nRazor wrote music in his spare time and recorded on his days off.
He created OG Entertainment and produced his first studio album ‘This is Razor B’ in 2009, ‘Split Personality’ followed in 2011. A slew of PR Reps and would be managers often made the road bumpy and the corners sharp. The obstacles have proved Razor to be a survivor, a true street warrior with style, swagger and a sound worthy of attention. Razor continues to record under his own OG Label. He has recently partnered with Darryl Riley of NuNew Entertainment in Toronto and Noel ‘PowerMac’ McKinson in Jamaica. This new powerhouse team has pushed Razor’s latest single ‘We Party!’ to chart in the Caribbean Top 10.
