Palm Tree Flow Records debut new dancehall single “Di Streetz”


(Global - HDP Ent, October 27th) - From garrisons and gullies, country to uptown, every crammed studio in between, Jamaica runs rampant with music. Shrouded in sessions from morning to night, the naturally talented to those who dream of artistry, beckon for their creativity to be heard. Some will find a breakthrough and others hope for discovery. On a recent visit to the fruitful island of Jamaica, US based producer and director Nigel Angus of Palm Tree Flow Records, recognized such musical energy and determination.


Connecting with Grammy nominated producer Fabian and X from Cashflow Records, Nigel brought together a showcase of rising Dancehall artist on debut track “Di Streetz”. Introducing Dan Java, Diggy Don, Sydon, Maestro Don alongside John Bling, this single highlights each artist individually while giving opportunity internationally. Nigel comments,

“Honestly, the talent in Jamaica is raw and genuine. Yes in New York, I meet and work with many artist, but it’s just different here in Jamaica. The energy is unbelievable. These artist deserve a chance to be heard.”

“Di Streetz” isn’t just a chance for the artist, but a new exploration for Nigel Angus producing his first official Dancehall track. Nigel honestly adds, “Previously I’ve worked on a lot of hybrid tracks, combining Pop, Hip Hop, elements close to my home with Dancehall influences. This isn’t just an opportunity for the artist, but for me to indulge in a musical passion.”

Presented over a catchy riddim, “Di Streetz” is reminiscent to a rap cipher as all artist flow seamlessly into each verse with fetching chorus able to play in the streets to the hottest parties. An achievement of the track, is the ability of all five artist to adding their own flavor while creating one cohesive single.

Nigel proudly remarks, “I’m excited over “Di Streetz”. It not only captured my vision but gives all artist the attention they need. I want other producers to hear this track and say, I want to work with them, because of talent not a 15 minute gimmick.”

Making it’s debut on October 22nd, Palm Tree Flow Records will release “Di Streetz” single and video simultaneously embarking on a full promotional international campaign. “Di Streetz” is available on iTunes here.
