Omari Banks Records New Music in Jamaica, Takes in Welcome To Jamrock Cruise
Anguilla (MPR Consulting) - Closing out an eventful successful year, soulful singer Omari Banks recently traveled to Jamaica to work on new music with some of the island most talented musician.
The former professional athlete who has crafted a name for himself in the music arena, spend time at the legendary Tuff Gong studios and soaked in the vibes while penning new music. Speaking of his time in Jamaica, Omari stated "The week in Jamaica was a really productive one. I got four records done and am really happy with the music we created. I was surrounded with musicians who live and breathe music, that and the fact that Jamaica always brings out such a positive and inspirational vibe, I can't wait for fans to hear it." Speaking on what fans and listeners can expect, Omari jubilantly explained " You can expect a step up from my last album move on, it promises to be fresh but still staying true to what I represent which is a real and organic feel to my music."
Although music was the main reason for his stay, Omari Banks was invited as a guest speaker at the Unicomer Group conference which hosted delegations from Jamaica, Trinidad, OECS, Barbados, Guyana, Belize, Aruba and their head quarters in El Salvador. Omari spoke about his life, views, drive, planning, execution and vision. " It was very humbling, and while speaking to them on my life story, it gave me renewed insight on my journey, I hope I was able to inspire and motivate."

In continuing with soaking musical vibes, Omari took part as an invited guest artist and music enthusiast on the famous Marley "Welcome To Jamrock Cruise", although the latter was more as a fan of reggae music, Omari took time out to talk with such media houses as Reggaeville, Irish and Chin, and Seani B of the BBC.
"The jamrock cruise was a great vibe! I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the ship, reggae music is a lifestyle and vibe and it is truly experienced on the ship.. It was a pleasure meeting Jr Gong and the Entire Marley Family as well as catching up with friends of mine Morgan Heritage.. Watching Jah cure and Third world is always a High light.." shared Omari.
As the holidays approach, Omari will continue to share his gift of music and inspiration. The singer who through the years aim to inspire the younger generation through various charities and organisations will take part on a fundraising event for the Literary & Debating Society. ALHCS Literary & Debating Society is organizing a Christmas event with the purpose to raise funds to send Anguilla's debaters to defend their championship at the 2016 Leeward Islands Debating Competition held in St. Maarten. The event will be held on Campus A grounds on Friday, 18th December 2015.
