Dancehall artiste OG Stunna

OG Stunna - I was born on a cool Tuesday morning September 22nd 1981, at the Cornwall regional hospital of Montego bay, St. James, I came out bursting with energy maybe my mother knew from then that I was meant to be a reggae superstar.

I still live in Montego Bay to this day with my two children Shakira Shaw (girl age seven) and Jerrod Shaw (boy age two) they both motivate me to keep on doing what I’m doing because music is for the greater good.

Born Jermaine o Shaw, I grew up in Granville St James where I also attended a kindergarten named off the same community Granville basic school, while I was there I begun to learn the fundamentals of my youth, even won a few awards including most punctual student, most obedient and perfect attendance because with a mother like mines you had to go to school.

I graduated and went to a primary school in the neighboring parish of Hanover where I attended bethel primary also moved within that time period to a new community in St James named rose heights.

After Bethel I attended Rusea’s high which sits in the same parish of Hanover, it was there that I discovered my love for reggae music I started writing and performing at school in the summer of 1993 and further became more enthused for music after completing high school with the push of my fellow pears I took on a hobby that became my life thus Exarawg was born. I started recording music in the late 1998 and I never looked back ever since, nowadays I go by my new name Og Stunna which hopefully will be a name to remember in the years to come.

Life to me means true friends and family who you can trust and who put their trust in you. I am basically an easy going person down to earth and full of joy it takes a lot to get on my bad side I’m always positive even when the day looks dull, plus I’m a strong believer in the most high Lord he is my partner in all my endeavors and I truly believe in the term “team work makes the dream work”. My children have a lot to do with my outlook on life and to be a positive motivator and a great father that takes a lot of positivity and optimism but at the end of the day they are the ones that inspire me for a brighter tomorrow so that I may continue to pursue reggae music no matter how hard it seems to get.

The year is 2012 and that will make two years since I started my own label D.j network click records and also nineteen years since I started doing music, it was not so long ago that I did reggae sumfest concert with my former name Exarawg in the summer of 2003 and from there on the following year I went on a small tour to St Lucia with Beenie Man, Third World and so I think I have matured for the most part but musically and lyrically I am ready to take it to the next level, took some time out for myself and to raise my kids now it’s time for the world to know a new reggae superstar Og Stunna.

So for the future and beyond I’m looking forward to touring the US, Europe, Japan and the rest of the world so look out for really great material to come from Og Stunna.
