Nesbeth Receives Double Nomination from Youth View Awards
After receiving the nod of approval last week for ‘Song of the Year’ from ONSTAGE TV during their 2016 entertainment recap, Reggae firebrand Nesbeth has also been blessed with two additional nods from the upcoming Youth View Awards.
The entertainer has been nominated for ‘Cultural Artiste of The Year’ and ‘Favourite Local Chart Topping Song of the Year’ for his inspirational hit ‘My Dream’.
Following a year of mix fortunes with the death of his beloved wife and sister months apart amid the most successful year of his career the Rastafarian crooner says he is very thankful for the nominations despite all the challenges.
“2016 was a very challenging year for me in many regards but I continue to prevail through it all. I want to say a special thank you to the Youth View Awards because the nominations represent not just the voice of the people but more importantly the youths and in my opinion they represent the future so it’s heart-warming to know that positive music is still making an impact on the younger generation.”
The 2017 installment of the Youth View Awards scheduled to unfold on Saturday, February 18th at the National Indoor Sports Centre (National Stadium) also marks a decade since their emergence on the social calendar and will see the inclusion of several new categories including the YVAs Icon Award, Breakout Youth Athlete of the Year and the launch of the YVAs Foundation.
Meanwhile, with efforts D.I.A.L, Live Every Minute and Road To Glory making steady in-rows across the diaspora Nesbeth is gearing up for a double video premiere later this month amid preparations for his upcoming European Tour.
