Navino debuts on US iTunes Reggae Chart peaking at number 9 with "Raw Truth"
by Lesley Hayles
Jamaican Dancehall artist, Navino, has been working hard throughout his career and maintained a presence with hits like “Fulla Gyal” on the Richter Scale Riddim produced by Dakrome Productions, collaborations with the legendary Beenie Man, as well as Kiprich, Anju Blaxx, Pink Boss, Jahmiel and most recently, Tajji on a track called “Real”, which came out in November 2023.
Now, since the release of “Raw Truth” on Friday, December 8, Navino is experiencing success after over a decade when “Chillin Time” on the Overproof Riddim charted in 2011.
Though holding steadfast all these years in the industry, Navino hasn’t seen major success as of yet but with “Raw Truth” and the addition of A’Legends Productions to his already incredible team of producers, including his management at Real Live Records, he believes he’s on his way to the pinnacle of his career. To debut at number 17 at the end of release day was a feat within itself.
However, to wake up the following day seeing “Raw Truth” break into the top 10 and peaking at number 9 was a proud and joyous moment he’ll never forget.
“Raw Truth” was released on December 8 and distributed on all major media outlets via OneRPM. It was produced by 1Family Records, Real Live Records, DJ Treasure Music and A’Legends Productions.
The official music video, also released on the same day, was directed by Foreign Flex TV and has racked up more than 67,000 views over the weekend. It was most successful after debuting at number 1, surpassing Sean Paul’s “Temperature” on the US iTunes Reggae Music Video Chart.
Navino is utterly grateful for the recognition and support from his loyal fans, especially to Jenelle Alexia from A’Legends, who helped to make this possible. The California-based artist believes that Jenelle has added that extra spark that was necessary to bring this recent success on.
Navino’s consistency keeps him relevant but his determination and humble nature sets him apart, which will be the driving force to catapult his name to international recognition and inevitable world renowned fame.
