Mzs Quanny Creates Buzz with her Newest Track
Dancehall songstress MzsQuanny has released a timely track, fittingly titled “Time”, which premiered just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Released in mid January, the song was produced by Deejay Kat of KLAS FM and is featured on the “El Gato” Riddim.
“This track is about the openness of loving someone and acceptance of them on all ends. It acknowledges how we all have our ‘Mr./ Mrs. Perfect’”, the singer said, explaining the concept behind the track.
Since its release, the singer has been opened up to a whole new demographic of fans - the romantics. Describing the track as a simple, sweet and easy song, the singer added,
“So far people love it. I hadn’t realized there were so many hopeless romantics out there beforehand.”
Known for past hits such as “Badness”, “On The Way” and “Bruk It Off”, the dynamic singer has taken on the music industry in her own unique way, skillfully incorporating both local and foreign styles into her sound. Having been born in the United States to Jamaican and Kittitian parents, it’s no wonder that her music reflects varying cultures.
“I feel every song, every riddim requires a different approach. This song was particularly easy because it took me back to my original R&B style. It's 2020 now, music has become so blended that my main style is a cross between R&B & Dancehall/Reggae,” the singer explained.
Now, the singer has plenty of new projects on the horizon, pointing out that there is much to come in 2020.
“This year, I’ve already started working on projects with amazing names such as Khalfani. I’m also working with producers and musicians that are behind the works of Ella Mai, Lizzo, RoddyRicch, DJ Mustard, KianaLedé and more,” she elaborated.
“Time” is available for purchase and streaming on major digital platforms such as Deezer, iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
