Marcus Garvey Festival 2013 - ExodusInity Promotions has been active in Nigeria since 2009. We have been at the forefront promoting Reggae music, re-branding and bringing it back to attention of the Nation. Programs we are and have been associated with include:
1. "Radio Raheem Show" : igrooveradio.com, 10pm-12am : Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
2. "Reggae 1 Drop": Top Radio 90.9FM: Sundays 7pm-9pm
3. Classic Reggae Show : Classic FM 97.3
4. 60 Mins of Reggae: Classic FM 97.3

Promotions is an Independent Promotions Outfit. Our first event was a
Cultural show/ Bazaar in August 2009, "Marcus Garvey Day Celebration,
themed: "Exploring our cultural links" it was hosted in conjunction with Nimbus 2000.
What
we Project n Events is EDU-TAINMENT ( Educative and Entertaining), we
believe one must learn and take away something positive from every
situation.
The educational aspect had :
Poetry recitals and short essays by students of LASU- Lagos State University
(Idiroko Branch)
Speech
by "The Nigerian West Indian Assoctaion" who were representing the then
Jamaican Ambassador to Nigeria (Mr. Robert Miller)
Speech by
Principal research Officer Mr. Olusegun Dosumu who was representing the
Director of CBAAC ; Professor Olusegun Babawale
Speech by Jah Black Rice a senior member of the Rastafari Community of Nigeria.
The
Entertainment aspect had a host of Nigerian artists and musician
jamming a variety of sounds and genres of music (Reggae,Hip-Hop,
HighLife) till the early hours of the morning.
All of this took
place within the Artistic environs of Bogobirhi and Nimbus 2000 on
Maitama Sule and Raymond Njoku St. Ikoyi respectively. The Caribbean
community provided us with sumptious Caribbean food and Natural juice
drinks.
This year 2013 we are back with a Bigger and Better 2nd Edition of "The Lagos International Marcus Garvey weekender.
Expo/Festival".
This year, we are working in conjunction with the Jampro (Jamaican
Promotions Corporation), Nigerian Embassy in Jamaica and our business
partners Triple M Productions.
They propose sending a team from
Jamaica comprising : Business owners intersected in import and export
business between both countries, movie industry practioners, authors,
chefs, fashion entrpeanurs, artists, artists managers and music
producers .
The team will be here on:
Business exploration
Culture Exchange
Display and Trade
Youth building and networking
General Networking and Interfacing
We will be setting up a series of workshops during the time the team will be here to facilitate: networking and building of strong working relationships.

All in a capacity that will enable this Festival be a success in accordance with the visions that Marcus Garvey had for the World Black Nation.
