by DHRW
(Jamaica)
Lutan Fyah has done it again! The artiste who is known for his enigmatic, enduring force and “spit fire” will be releasing, worldwide, his much anticipated album “Life of a King”. The self written 13 tracks album is set to be released on the 10th of September and this will be the 10th album for the reggae superstar.
The album offers a compelling blend of conscious reggae tracks fused with elements of other genres including Hip Hop, R& B and Jazz. “Life of a King” is the concept of producer Khabir 'Kabs' Bonner who aims to bridge the gap between these genres and other creative concepts. All of the tracks on the album are produced and mixed by Kabs himself, and feature special guest artistes, Chronixxx for the track “Can’t Do We Nothing,” “and “Protect the youth” featuring Mr Lexx.
The titled single “Life of a King” is number five on the album and since its release, has been breaking the airwaves, receiving tremendous acclaim and heavy rotations on local and international radio. The single was also released on I Tunes on July 23, 2013 and was featured on the front page in the US and is now among the hot singles.
Lutan Fyah has enjoyed some overwhelming responses from audiences, especially on the international scene, having built a fan base with touring and the constant flow of innovative tracks. There is no doubt that this album will not only be well received, but will go down in history as one of the greats. “Life of a King” captures the true musical spirit of reggae but with a hint of other influential types of music.
The artiste who is known for hits such as, ‘St Jago De La Vega,” “No wah Settle Down” had this to say about the upcoming album.
“The originality of the album is what will make an impact; the music is fresh and new and you will see Lutan Fyah in a different light”
