With a hit single which has been receiving rave reviews, Kemar Lewis, known by the stage name Leon Lewis, has been making strides on the music scene.
Hailing from the parish of Kingston, Jamaica, the singjay has gained a wealth of experience in his own right as an artiste.
Whilst entering contests and clashes at his former school, Camperdown High, Leon Lewis’ passion for music blossomed.
The multitalented artiste later threw his hat into writing music, which propelled him further by entering contests such as: RETV Talent Search and Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall in 2011, giving Leon the exposure needed for a upcoming artiste in the industry.
Nevertheless, Lewis wants to assure his fans that he has a true passion for music, he is here to stay and is very committed to the pursuit of a successful career in music, which his fans locally and internationally will surely enjoy.
He recently signed to Aces Media, a vibrant, yet talented team of professionals who are dedicated and driven to timeless, quality music. In a statement released to the media, Leon Lewis said he has released his music video for his latest single: Hopeless State, produced by Aces Music Media and composed by J Crazy and Dr. Marshall.
“Trust me, the concept of this video is what puts it at an edge, fans love it, the concept is about, a young couple with a son, and the child’s mother decides to give up on the relationship and leave and threatens to take the child away,” he said.
However, tracks such Caan Guh Easy and Time Alone have been both rotating heavily on the airwaves as well.
When asked what are his plans for the rest of the year are, he replied, “I am aiming to create positive music that will impact the youths of Jamaica and around the world, fans can look out for new music that will create a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of the people.”
