Young musician Soloman “King Salla” Dacosta and singer/songwriter Trevor “Meleik” Houslin, owner/Producers of music production company King Salla Records has teamed up with reggae artiste Kali Blaxx to produce a single entitled “Reggae Music”.
The song has been receiving great responses from the media and music lovers since its debut in October 2011. Reggae Music" immediately invokes a reminiscing vibes of the past "glory days" of Reggae music and comment the steady decline of it today.
Kali Blaxx reiterates in the song that he is not criticizing any of his musical peers; he is simply stating that with a little more effort from everyone as a whole, there can be a resurgence of the genre.
He has stayed true to his creative process while working on his new single "Reggae Music" focusing on lyrical content, rhythmic and smooth melody. "Reggae Music" is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody.Kali Blaxx’s album is expected to debut third quarter 2012.
This is King Salla Record’s second official release since the first 11 track one drop compilation “Closed Door Riddim” which featured artiste such as: Mr.Perfect, Meleik, Shakespear, Hytanyah,Kunte Kente etc. King Salla Records has partnered up with Summit Music Group and is currently working on a one drop compilation with artiste such as: Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Ginjah, Singer Jah,Droop Lion,Tyrical and it’s very own producer Trevor Houslin (Stage name Meleik) which is slated to be release early next month.
King Salla Records has vowed to stay true to their roots and provide it’s listeners with authentic reggae music not just reggae but a little taste of various genres. King Salla Records is based in Ocho Rios, however operates mainly in Kingston.
