Roots Reggae singer Khalilah Rose's debut album Zion's Lullaby is finally getting the recognition it deserve.
The album was released in July, 2012 and has since sold over 40,000 copies and counting on Major digital stores such as iTunes and Amazon.
Zion's Lullaby features collabs with Turbulence and Lutan Fyah. The fourteen (14) tracks album is definitely a collector’s item.
Lalibela (Interlude) Speaks to "King Lalibela" who was chosen to rebuild Jerusalem.
No Gunz Speak to a new world, free of all the hard-ship which black people are facing in most inner cities more popularly known as Ghettos.
Hail H.I.MKhalilah Rose is a Rastafarian sister, on this track she made it very clear her commitment to this religion. A video for "Hail Him" was also released; the video is now very popular in the UK and parts of Africa.
Weep NotAnother strong uplifting song for all black people who are facing hard times.
Unite and Be StrongThe first of two collabs on the album. Unite & Be Strong features one of dancehall and reggae music top Roots singer Turbulence. This is one of my favorite song from the album. It's all about Love and unity and that we all should live as one.
Not Giving UpThis is an Acoustic track. Another powerful and uplifting song. With all the struggles and suffering we face each day, Not Giving Up encourage everyone
to stay focus and carry on the work as better must come one day.
JaH Is LivingThe second collaboration on the album. Jah Is Living features, the ever blazing Lutan Fyah. This is another soul searching track. Whether you praise "God", "Jesus", or Selassie I, this song is for you.
Black Star linerThis is an "Adopted" Originally done by 'Culture' and "Fred Locks".
Your EyesThis is the real lover’s rock track. Since it was released is has made its way on all Major radio stations on the Island of Jamaica, Guyana, UK, Africa, New York and even Argentina.
DestinyAs the title state 'Destiny' on the track Khalilah let it be known and also encourage everyone that they are the one who's responsible for their own destiny.
Never FailIn Live there's always trials and crosses but one should always remember that there is a higher being (GOD) who is always there for us. This is the perfect song to listen to when holding a meditation.
Fake UpWhile I was listening to this song, it reminds me of how some people are in this world. They would pretend to be someone else just to get at you.
