katarock sound

katarock sound has been around for the past 17 years,and has being playing on the local seen for a while now.


The sound system was originally based in milwaukee wisconsin,but moved to jamaica in 1995,to a place called sandy park in the liguanea area.

The sound system was being operated by hitman,quincy,alpachino,terical. Things was going real fine with the sound system, bookings were in a bundle for the states and the caribbean and locally.

We had some locally based selectors from the community as well as a set of selectors from near by communities, we were just giving the younger talents a chance to make their presence felt,but i guess that was not enough for the management team until they went ahead and the the self proclaimed JUXIE KILLER.

That was when all went down hill for the sound the dates were in a decline and the fans did not like the move,so i had to step in and dissolve the matter by not taking juxie to most of the top dances and engagements that we had,because once the people know that he was coming with the sound it would not go down well with the night trust me.

But as i speak to date the sound system is still around and playing not on a regular though,but we still have one of the best playing quality sound system that money cannot by only ok.
