Kashu goes on tour to increase fan base
Dancehall artiste Darren 'Kashu' Williams left the island last week for a two-month promotional stint in the United States.
According to the artiste, he is confident that the tour will help him to grow his fan base in the US.
"I am doing this tour to increase my fan base and spread my music in America. Every successful artiste has to tour. if you don't go out on the road and promote yourself no one will know about you," he said.
Since his arrival in the US, Kashu has been very busy doing interviews and public appearances.
"Right now, I'm in Connecticut and everything is going according to plan. So far, I've been doing a lot of radio interviews and public appearances. I've also received some bookings for shows later this year. By next week, I will be moving around New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. I'm scheduled to do interviews and appearances in those states. After that, I will head to Florida and then to California," said the artiste.
Kashu will celebrate his birthday with his North American fans, with a big birthday bash at the Kabala night club in Hartford, Connecticut on the 20th of June.
"I'm going to celebrate my birthday at the Kabala club. It's going to be a wonderful event, with a lot of artistes, DJs and sound systems in the house," he revealed.
Kashu's single titled She Tell Me Thanks, which was produced by the Canada-based Star Track Reggae imprint, is currently enjoying much attention on the local scene.
"I am pleased that this song is doing so well at home. it's also getting a good reception in the US," he said.
