Jr Reid will Bring Galaxy of Stars To Margaritaville Ocho Rios
International reggae superstar Delroy "Junior" Reid is gearing up for the annual staging of his Birthday party to be held at Margaritaville in Ocho Rios, St Ann Jamaica on June 23, 2017.
The star studded event will ignite Jamaica's north coast with the likes of reggae heavyweights; Barrington Levy, Richie Spice, Half Pint, Luciano, Teflon, Juju Blood, Young Jr, Jesse Royal and dancehall general Bounty Killa who heads the advert.
In an exclusive interview with Vybz E News Weekly radio program, the "One Blood" singer share his vibe towards this prestigious event; "It is going to be like a movie. This package of artistes on the line up is going to be a surprise impact because you never seen all these calibre of artistes on one show before, it will be an historical experience and music lovers should come out early. ." Said the reggae legend who also operates JR Productions record label.
Though the line up is already highly attractive with a galaxy of stars, admission is only $1,500 before midnight and $2,000 after. Mr Reid hints that there will also be surprise international celebrities at the show with the gates opening at 8:30 pm to musical juggling by Stone Love sound system alongside top radio djs; Dj Wayne, Big A and Zj Ice among other top ranked media personalities.
With fundamental plans already in place for expanding and to establish Jr Reid's One Blood Festival in 2018, Mr Reid explain his vision and inspiration for his prolific brand; "this One Blood Festival will create a balance in generations and will overshadow the negatives in the industry and give authentic artistes a chance to let their messages be heard. This is reggae home and we don't have much festivals so we have to lift it to a standard so people can respect it." Reid said.
He further noted that local promoters don't represent what the global market place want to hear. "People have it to say that reggae music is dead since the great Bob Marley times but we are here to show them that the quality of reggae live on still." He declared.

After the birthday celebration, Jr Reid will travel to New York to perform at S.O.B'S on June 30.
