Babylon Teacher is the title of the last Tebel Crew’s release.
The song has been composed following an exact style of sound, taking the idea from the old-school studio-bands like the Upsetters or the Beverley’s Allstars and the relative producers like Lee Perry or Leslie Kong, but at the end we search a balance in the mix to match it with the type of sound of today.
The resulting sound is dusty and rough from a side , but in the same time clear and loud on the other hand.
To make the release even more authentic and respectful of the roots Jonny Di Ambassador writes the verses with a self-counscious lyrics and social messages keeping in mind of the singing style of historical roots artists like for exemple The Gladiators or The Pioneers that used jamaican proverbs to express themselves.
These are the creative elements that make Babylon Teacher a song that stands out from the usual. Hope you enjoy!
