Jesse Royal highlights Hypocrisy with new Marijuana Video
World Sound Reggae Vocalist Jesse Royal has released a new video project for two singles that speak to the legalization of marijuana in his home country, Jamaica.
The Rising Reggae talent has already been turning heads over the years with potent singles and introspective lyrics; like those of his popular single ‘Modern Day Judas’.
With the new material, Jesse has kept true to form and spurns thought provoking ideals with both the Gimmie Likkle and Finally Singles.
Produced by Notis Productions and Biggy Music respectively, the singles ‘Gimmie Likkle’ and ‘Finally’ both draw on the topic of freedom of expression with Marijuana.
The ‘Finally’ single itself speaks directly to the recent decriminalization of Marijuana in Jamaica and the hope that this brings further freedom and nation building.
“We need to start researching our own resources if we really want to start to build a productive nation, the herb need fi legalize you know!” Jesse admonished.
Directed by renowned director Jay Will of Game Over Films, The video depicts the imagination of total freedom of the use of cannabis with Jesse literally dreaming of these possibilities; culminating with him waking up to his dream being a reality.
The single ‘Finally’ has been receiving great responses thus far since its release earlier this year and was even one of the high points of Jesse’s recent show stopping Reggae Sumfest 2015 Performance.
Jesse Royal is preparing to release his “Hope and Love” EP in Japan later this year preempting his month long Japan Tour. He will also be putting some energy behind his full length album which should be released in 2016.
