Born Miguel Anthony Martin, Jemynie spent his early years in the parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica.
At approximately 9 years old he left the confines of his grandmother‘s home, to go and live with his aunt in Kingston. There he went to Belmont Park Primary School-and later enrolled at Gaynstead High School.
During his short time at that institution, he began to discover his love for writing and performing his songs for classmates and friends. Two years later, he again relocated to live in the town of Linstead in St. Catherine, where he attended Ewarton High.
It was there that Jemynie truly began to immerse himself in explorative work, discovering and appreciating unique melodies which were unconventional in the arena of the popular music genre, to which he had been primarily exposed. Jemynie’s natural writing talent created for him a following amongst fellow students; they encouraged him to take his work to the next level-the recording studio.
His decision however, met with resistance from his skeptical aunt with whom he lived. This resulted in him being expelled from the house, when the defiant-young budding artiste, went against her will and recorded his first two songs at a local community studio.
Today, Jemynie- having gained significant technical expertise in the field of music production and other aspects of music engineering, truly epitomizes his sub-name, ‘The Tech-Head’.
Jemynie the Tech- Head, is presently on a well defined career development path,. Jemynie has been very busy with various promotional activities, including performances at various high profile social events.
For the year 2013, the very promising young entertainer will have his hands full, undertaking projects such as the launch his new music videos and a string of major local and international Music and entertainment projects.
The world can look forward to Jemynie participating in several truly innovative and engaging projects, Jemynie is just 21 but has the personal drive and determination, required to succeed in the very competitive world of music and entertainment. Expect exceptional things from ‘The Tech-Head’.
