Jamaican Born DJ Blake to Perform in Front of 30,000 People at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Series
Tess O’Brien Publicity - Resident DJ at Dos Cominos, Gaslight Lounge and Karma Lounge is set to DJ at one of the biggest events of his DJ career. From the reggae filled streets of Jamaica to the hip clubs of New York City, DJ Blake will bring his encyclopedic knowledge of music to the 38th year of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® Series.
The Corporate Challenge mission of promoting health and camaraderie in the workplace is important to teams such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Ford Foundation, just as it was for the 50 teams and 200 runners who assembled in Central Park 37 years ago for the first 3.5-mile event in Central Park. That modest start has led to 600 companies and 30,000 total entrants that will be on the West Drive starting line June 4 and 5.
Born April 15,1987 in Jamaica Danvil Blake first touched a turntable at the age of 13 and has been continually honing his craft ever since. MUSIC is LIFE, LIFE is a PARTY is DJ Blake's motto but he knows that to keep the party jumping takes skill, knowledge, hard work and a feel for the mood of the audience. Known for creating just the right blend of music that the moment calls for, his impressive grasp of many genres keeps his sound fresh and each experience unique. DJ Blake knows how to give the crowd what they want while skillfully introducing them to new musical experiences.
In addition to being the resident DJ at some of NYC’s hottest bars and clubs, DJ Blake's has also appeared in L.A. as tour DJ for Pras (formerly of The Fugees).. He was resident DJ at the Billboard Staff Party in 2012 and the Billboard 2013 Launch Party where he opened for the legendary Quest Love. In May of 2013 he was DJ and host for Funkmaster Flex's Mixtape Release however the JP Morgan Corporate Series is his biggest gig to date.
This event is set to draw between 15 to 18 thousand people per day with a total of 30,000 spectators who will be exposed to the musical passion and dedication DJ Blake brings to every gig.
