Jae Prynse Lends Support To Spanish Town Correctional Centre - Riding high with the single ‘Try Harder’ burgeoning Reggae singer Jae Prynse touted as one to watch for 2017 by various industry players including Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley and award winning journalist/broadcaster Winford Williams has teamed up with the Spanish Town Adult Correctional Centre, lending his support to their rehabilitation program.

No stranger to the perils of the inner city after losing several family members of gang violence, the young singer hailing from the Spanglers community in Downtown Kingston said he was very happy to oblige when the invitation was extended to him.

Aside from the obvious entertainment value the programme also aims to assist in the re-integration of convicted persons into society through mentoring with its main objective, to counter habitual offending, also known as criminal l recidivism.

Following a well received performance interspersed with motivational speeches, Jae Prynse thanked the inmates and officials for the opportunity,

“The experience was very moving and served as an eye-opener for those in society who share the view that the penal institution is a place of solace. Admittedly I must say I am fairly pleased to see that many of the inmates are still in high spirits despite their insurmountable challenges. ”

Prynse is currently promoting the official video for ‘Try Harder’ as he gears up to release his follow-up single ‘Faker To A Friend’. Over the weekend the singer delivered a spirited set at the Redemption Live concert held in Half-Way-Tree.

He recently got a career boost after his song was added to the rotation on BBC 1Xtra in Britain and Irie Jam Radio in New York City simultaneously.
