KINGSTON, JA – April 23, 2012 - "Defranco - Journey," the new four (4) track EP from international recording artist Defranco, showcases the range and diversity of the Jamaica-born singer/songwriter/musician who is best known for his stirring, conscience-raising ode "Got to Change."


"Defranco - Journey" is a smooth mixture of soul and reggae laid over authentic reggae instrumentals. Defranco says these songs have special meaning to him as they detail various points in his life. "Got to change", it is a very personal song to me. I wrote it about someone I knew who was making bad decisions affecting their life and the lives of the people around that cared most. This is a song of warning and encouragement, a song that inspires life changes and positivity.

Released by Reggae Release, "Defranco - Journey," the album was written by Dwayne "Defranco" Francis and produced by Dean Fraser- Canon Productions, Romel Marshall - Marshal Arts Records, Andre Barnes & Dwayne Morris for Cahban Rekords and Leebert "Gibby" Morrison for Gibby Music. The album is a collection of songs whose themes range from the socially conscious, to personal insights, pain and love, to simply partying and having a bit of fun.

Two songs off the album "Got to change" and "Give what you want" has been getting heavy rotations on various radio stations throughout North America, Europe and the Caribbean. The songs has been featured on Kiss100 Fm & Choice Fm in the UK, The Joint - Sirius XM satellite radio, currently #7 on Toronto CHRY 105.5 FM reggae chart and # 2 on Reggae France top 10 songs.
