Reggae music insiders believe that Rastafarian firebrand Iba Mahr is at the forefront of a new reggae soul movement in the dancehall-reggae industry.

The singer's charismatic persona, inspirational lyrics and soul-searing voice have begun to attract international attention with several European journalists seekingout the Will I Wait singer over the last month.

"It appears that more and more fans are drawing near to I and I music. You can tell through the response on Twitter and Facebook, the fanslove wah a gwaan and support the movement," Iba Mahr said.

Recently, Iba performed alongside Anthony B in Barbados for the Reggae Summer Blast show which featured artistes such as Munga Honourable, Demarco andothers. He gave an excellent account of himself, getting forwards for his hit songs, Will I Wait and Burning, which had the Bajans rocking to the reggae beat.

He conducted several interviews in the magazines, newspapers and radio station in Barbados and they are looking forward to his return.

The singer was the featured act in an interview with the critically-acclaimed and syndicated show Sir Daddy D via www.Reggae4Us.com last Sunday.

"Right now, the vibes in Europe is excellent, management is arranging a tour because a number of promoters have expressed interest since
we got two dates confirmed on that continent," he said.

Iba Mahr has continued to fine-tune his sound which is resonating with reggae lovers all over the world as evidenced by the hectic chart activity. The reggae warrior's breakthroughWill I Wait is number 7 on the TPN Radio and Caribbean Vibes Radio chart, while Burning is currently number 5on the Stampede Reggae chart. His successful single, Great is H.I.M, held the #1 spot on the Bess 100 FM singles chart for three weeks. The song, voiced on a predominantly bass-driven rhythm, reflects the artiste's philosophy of righteousness, spiritual awakening and the tenets of Rastafari.

"The message transcends globally and is not secluded only to the Rastafarian community but in essence, the true inspiration comes from life in itself and the teachings of His Imperial Majesty (H.I.M)," said Iba Mahr.

The singer has also found the mark with singles such as Sound Alarm and Born Free and his powerful brand of roots reggae is having a growing influence on the younger generation of Rastafarians and the wider audience of mixed cultures.

Look out for new songs from this talented reggae artiste which will be released at the end of the year.
