Home Again Having Red Carpet Premiere in Jamaica

Toronto September 12th, 2013 – The critically acclaimed feature film, Home Again, a searing drama about life in Jamaica after deportation will have a red carpet premiere in Kingston, Jamaica.
The event, presented by the Jamaica Observer Newspaper, will be held at the Carib Cinema in Kingston Jamaica.
Cast and crew to attend the premiere include actors Paul Campbell, Lyriq Bent, Brian Brown and Kadeem Wilson and Producer/Writer Jennifer Holness and Supervising TnT Producer, Lisa Wickham. Home Again will also be released nationwide in these Jamaican theatres on September 18th: Carib, Palace Cineplex, Palace Multiplex and Odeon theatres.
Home Again was released in theatres across Canada in March and became the number one Canadian film in box offices for three weeks in a row and was screened to sold out audiences in Trinidad and Tobago in April.
Written by Jennifer Holness and Sudz Sutherland. Directed by Sudz Sutherland, Home Again stars Tatyana Ali (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Second Generation Wayans) multi-Emmy nominated and Satellite Award winner C.C.H. Pounder (Avatar), Lyriq Bent (SAW series), Stephan James (Degrassi: The Next Generation), international recording star FeFe Dobson, and Richard Chevolleau (Flashpoint).
A searing drama in the vein of City of God, Home Again tells the story of three young people deported home to Jamaica after being raised abroad since infancy.
Once landed in Kingston and without a compass of any kind, each of the characters embarks on a journey that pushes their endurance beyond measure and forces them to discover who they truly are. On the most fundamental level, Home Again asks the question, “How would you survive?”
Home Again is an award-winning film that won the 2013 BAFTA Festival Choice Award at the Pan African Film Festival in LA. Stephan James and Fefe Dobson were both nominated for best-supporting acts at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards, and Director, Sudz Sutherland has recently been nominated for Best Director for this feature film at the Directors Guild of Canada.
Home Again producers include Jennifer Holness (Guns, Love, Sex and Eating the Bones), Don Carmody (Resident Evil series, Chicago, Silent Hill, Goon) and the NFB’s Anita Lee (Stories We Tell, Proteous).
