Kingston, Jamaica - Every Wednesday Night, the popular Limelight Night Club in Kingston, Jamaica comes to life, courtesy of the successful event “Gallis Wednesday” staged at the club. The event promoted by powerhouse Hapilos Entertainment, is the brainchild of controversial selector Foota Hype who is the event’s resident selector.
The always sold out, star- studded Gallis Wednesday boasts in its regular attendance dancehall A-listers including Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Konshens, Popcaan, Voicemail , Munga Honourable and Shelly Belly to name a few. The event also attracts some of the industry’s top producers such as Sounique, Good Good Productions and Subkonshus Records to name a few.
“Gallis Wednesday brings out the who is who of dancehall, both artist and Producers alike, in part because we also use it as an avenue to premier, promote and introduce the music distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution" stated Amoy Edwards, the event's lead promoter for Hapilos Entertainment. If you are a producer or artiste being distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital then Wednesday nights at Gallis Wednesday is a great time and place to come get real-time feedback on your music” added Johnny Wonder of 21st Hapilos Digital.
According to Donna Newell, Accountant at Hapilos Entertainment, "We always strive to give back and foster good will with our patrons at Gallis Wednesday, from issuing vouchers for back to school, having a fish fry free of charge during the Easter holiday, providing chocolate, roses and champagne to those in attendance on Valentine’s Day and giving gifts in appreciation of Mothers and Fathers on their respective days. All this has contributed to the event’s success and we thank the regular party-goers who support the event each week. ”
