Guive / Silent Calling (Dirty Riddim) videoclip out tomorrow !

THE SONG


Writing his lyrics in either French or English, Guive tells stories about his world with sincerity and depth, reflecting an universal message. This song calls for a change of life, of thinking and of doing, that is unavoidable in a World suffering from various crisis: an hymn of hope aspiring for a more conscious future that should be closer to Humanity.

THE SINGER

Considered by his pairs as one of the rising stars of french Reggae, Guive is a complete artist who lives out of the box. With an unique vocal tone and a natural groove, his style varies from Jazz to Soul and obviously Reggae. He made a remarkable combination with Lone Ranger - a jamaican rub a dub legend - in the notorious clip «New Start». He’s also working at the moment on his new album with his band, the ORA (Original Reggae Addicts).

THE CLIP

Meanwhile attending to the theatre show «Sfumato» directed by the contemporary choreograph Rachid Ouramdane, Yannis (beatmaker & producer) found the inspiration for the main idea underlying the «Silent Calling» video-clip. The scenography plays in a subtile way around obscurity, with a long-piano as unique set on a stage covered by water. A simple and at the same time strong aesthetic decoration.

accepted spontaneously to participate in this shooting the day after the theatre play thanks to the courtesy of Rachid Ouramdane and his technicians. What an amazing opportunity granted by all these people!

After half an hour of shootings, improvised dance sets and the magic touch of so many great professionals, the whole was laid. «Silent Calling» clip is a real act of creativity to which all the artists involved proudly live up.

THE LABEL

Founded in Annecy (France), Rock-A-Matic is specialized in riddims in the jamaican way of doing.

Far from being limited to one genre, the label has decided to mix various influences and styles with one sole criteria: «This sound is tuff, release it!»

The various musical tastes of its founders are the backbone of its eclectic sound: from the warmth of 70’s Reggae to the power of contemporary Dancehall-Dubstep.

THE RIDDIM MAKER

Musician, beat and riddim maker, Yannis is the cofounder and musical boss of the label. He com-poses and mixes the riddims and tracks. He’s also founder of the RockRadioHermes label producing artists such as the genevian Reggae singer Long’Joha or the british rapper Silqe. After producing their respective EP’s, he’s now in the making of their albums. Recently, he was also spotlighted on the albums of Max Livio (May 2014) and the jamaican singer Nello B (Addis Records).
