Dancehall artiste Don Andre pleased with response to music video

London-based deejay Don Andre is pleased with the overall response to his new music video for his buzzing single, Badness Ina Wi Longtime.

The track, produced by Bena Productions, has been receiving steady airplay in the UK and that momentum has catapulted and inspired the music video to allow viewers the opportunity to become familiarised with the talented entertainer.

Heavy Films, the masters of direction behind fellow dancehall star Tommy Lee Sparta's music videos, is responsible Don Andre's Badness Ina Wi Long Time, which was shot in Kingston.

The recently released YouTube version of the track was well received, with high anticipation for the edited version that will be available for TV audiences worldwide next week.

unique flavour

Don Andre, having steadily developed a large following in London, where he is known in dancehall circles, believes his distinct style have set him apart from the many prospects in the industry.

"My intention is really to bring back fun in the dancehall. I'm here to introduce my style, unique flavour and different flow. The response has been overwhelming and I am humbled. Since the release of the video everywhere I go in the UK people giving it thumbs up ... People say it's authentic," he said in a release.

"I've been recording professionally since 2009 and it has reached a point where we think it's time that we connect with the right management and team to get the work out there.

Keona Williams is my publicist, things are running smooth and I feel motivated,"he said. "Right now the vibes good with the new team. Big up Tommy Lee, Pim Pim, Heavy-D... We have some projects coming up with other talented record producers based in Jamaica so we jus a gwaan put in the groundwork."

According to the artiste, "From people hear my voice and sound dem know a me ... I'm a singjay and deejay ... you basically have to have a style for everybody, but that will be displayed later in my career."

Don Andre, born Carlos Robinson, hails originally from the Waltham Park area in Kingston and has several upcoming projects in the pipeline.

He is set to follow up with the hardcore track called We Nuh Fraid a Dem, for which a music video has already been shot.

He is currently working with UK-based producers Smooth Face (Wonderboy Entertainment), Deejay Fingers (After Hours Records) and Bena Productions based in Jamaica.
