DJ Blizzard, the Voice of Upcoming Talents
Fast-rising producer DJ Blizzard stands out as a voice for the upcoming talents in the music industry.
According to the prodigy too much talented young acts have been exploited and have not been given their due right for their work.
“Too many times I have seen the exploitation of upcoming talents because they are not knowledgeable about the music business. For instance when someone makes an instrumental the credentials should show that person, and a percentage of such should be given unless there has been a full purchase of the instrumental.” He expressed
He further goes on to say that there are producers who have been overshadowing these details and hiding information from the public and these talents who genuinely love doing music.
His solution for this rampant issue is that these upcoming acts educate themselves about the craft and understand that there is a business side to the music.
“I urge these talents to learn the business aspects of the music because it can be used against them.”
He continues, “I have faced my fair share of problems as an upcoming talent and so have many others like me. It wasn’t so bad for me because having Toots Hibbert as a grandfather, I had firsthand experience o the music business.
Despite it all, DJ Blizzard has continued to work consistently in putting out quality music to his growing fan- base. He has worked on a few projects that he has gotten him quite the attention recently.
“I worked on two Vybz Kartel tracks, the first, “Miss My Dream” featuring Marco and will be published by Sony. The other, "Personally" features international superstar Burna Boy who has done songs with Wale, in the same circles with Drake.”
