After modifying the spelling of his name, dancehall artiste Waspp has released his much publicised 'Above Average' mixtape.
According to Waspp, the mixtape showcases his versatility and lyrical prowess.
"Above Average is the hottest mixtape in the streets right now. Everybody a tell me say it was definitely worth the wait. People are responding positively to the music so we give thanks. Waspp always put out good quality music so it's definitely a good look," he said.
Armed with a new management team, the Cry Fi Dem singer is now putting together plans for an international campaign. He also hopes to embark on a tour of Jamaica by bringing his brand of music to all 14 parishes. The aim is to bolster his existing fan base and win new fans while familiarising the masses with the face behind the music.
"Nobody nah know when me a go pop-up. Mi a go just do some songs and give away some of the CDs any where we see a sound string up. Plus, I'm also booked for shows so that's also gonna be helpful in getting the music out there. I want to be the first artiste to go platinum with a mixtape. A lot of persons know my name and they know the songs, but they don't know my face, so this year I definitely wanna have a more visual presence," he added
Currently promoting the singles Touch Off A Mi and Tek A Ride, the artiste whose given name is Marvin Clarke recently released the official video for Hot Like Fiyah, produced by JA Productions on the Overtime rhythm.
